(Q) What is the Advanced Fraud Prevention system?

(A) My Safe Bid takes fraud very seriously. As such, we have developed a method to check the users information when they register to determine if the user is a "Safe" user or not. These checks are real-time and verify the information entered to determine the likely-hood of the user being a fraudulent user or not. This system allows us to "weed out" over 85% of would be fraudulent users before they even register!
When you register, we ask for standard information (Name, Address, Email, etc...) and also ask for the first 6 digits of a valid credit card. Note, we do not and will never ask for you full credit card number. All data is securely encrypted with our 256-bit High Assurance SSL.

(A) In accordance with Local, State, and Federal law persons under the age of 16 cannot participate in auctions as they are legally binding contracts. |

(A) Yes, My Safe Bid is a 100% Free Online Auction Site. There are no fees for listing or closing nor are there any fees for advance features such as buy now, photo gallery, or online stores.

Selling

(Q) How can I list an item?
|
|
(A) You must first be a registered member. Once you have registered simply login to your account and click on the "Sell" link. The first thing to do is select a general category for your auction item, note that you can choose a more specific category further into the listing process. You can then enter in your chosen settings and auction item description. |

(Q) How can I keep track of items I'm selling?
|

(A) You can keep an eye on the auction items you are selling by visiting your members area and selecting the "Selling" page. |

(Q) Can I use HTML when listing an item?
|
|
(A) Yes you can, however we recommend you use basic tags as complex HTML descriptions may not display correctly. |

How to Bid

(Q) How can I place a bid?
|
|
(A) To place a bid on an auction item you must first login to your account. Once logged in a bidding box will be displayed at the top and bottom of all auction pages. You can use this box to place you chosen bid. |

(Q) How can I keep track of items I'm bidding on?

(A) You can keep an eye on the auctions you are bidding on by visiting your members area and selecting the "bidding" page. |

(Q) How do I know if I am outbid on an item?

(A) Our auction system will automatically notify you via email if you are outbid. |

Reputation / Feedback

(Q) Do you show that I am PayPal verified?
|
|
(A) Yes, when you register and become verified we automatically check to see if you are a PayPal verified customer. If you are we will display a PayPal icon next to your reputation information. We also add a positive feedback comment to your reputation informing others that you are PayPal verified. This service is included at no additional cost with the My Safe Bid verification service. |

(Q) Can I have my other auction services feedback imported?

(A) Yes, we can import your other auction service feedback rating and display it next to your reputation information. To have this done simply email us via the Contact Us page and tell us the auction site and your id for that site. Please allow up to 3 business days for us to complete the import as we manually verified all the data and that you are the actual owner of the auction id. Also note that there is a small fee for this service. If you have credit in your account this fee will be deducted from that. Otherwise you account will be billed.
